These four tenets are what John McEwan Overton used as a foundation to build his business when he started j.m. Overton Sales & Marketing Co., Inc in 1978. At that point in time, John had decided to take all that he had learned and absorbed as the head grocery buyer of one of the largest retail supermarkets in the country and apply it to the sales side of the business.
From his experiences sitting on the other side of the desk as a buyer, it quickly became apparent that credibility and reliability were two vital qualities necessary to run a business successfully.
Today, his three children, John Jr., Michelle, and Matt have carried on this legacy as a successful brokerage firm providing the tools needed for success in the Wholesale Club Industry. The Overton Family prides itself in our dedication to details and service that has built our reputation as a respected broker servicing both the Wholesale Clubs and our Vendor’s needs.
Being a small family owned company, we have focused our attention to details and follow through at the highest level. Overton Sales & Marketing assists our vendors with sales presentations, development and coordination of marketing programs, order processing, sales tracking and analysis, club retail surveys, and product management.
